Luminosity Geo

Series Description

Subtle coloration is introduced to compositions from the Luminosity series through a translucent interplay of layers. Images are transmuted and imbued with an ethereal... quality, while color evokes the environment keeping an earthly tether in play.

“This series continues our exploration of color interactions with the textures and gestural markings beneath, this time without a geometric shape defining the color. Here the term Geo — as relating to the earth — references the chosen hues. The use of color is subtle and delicate, yet the collaboration between the layers is dramatic, transporting us to another realm.”

The juxtaposition of black and white in the underlying images takes on new character, but the vital tension remains. Both ethereal and earthly qualities reside within the piece, engaging each other. The works draw us into a realm that is peaceful and serene, but also suggest a fragile balance.

As with the Luminosity series, these works are custom framed with a 4-way hanging system. The artwork can be rotated and viewed from different perspectives, each view revealing its own statement and energy. Arranging artwork in this series — on their own, in pairings, or groupings — the collector is invited to join in the creative conversation begun by the artist and explore their own visual narrative.
